Instructional Design For Online Learning Assignment
1. How can good instructional design ensure that the course meets student needs?
The students who take the online class usually he takes it because of the asynchronous learning environment. They may be have work and they can attend a traditional class on particular days and times because of that the online class should allow asynchronous learning. That mean the class should not required the students to be online at the same day every week. The class should be flexible and the important synchronous discussion only is in sometimes meeting. Students should have 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to finish their assignment. Also the good instructional design can ensure that the course meets student needs in many ways first, the good instructor always needs his student’s feedback about the learning experience in courses. When the feedback is negative the instructors should be flexible and fax any raising problems wail keeping the project on track. Second, the good instructor always want make sure his students understand his lecture by give them question in blackboard or by email. third, the good instructor try to make every student active in his blogs by ask him to add every post weekly, and also make comment in other student blogs.
2. How can good instructional design ensure course quality?
The good instructional design should do like what William Horton said, “design first and then pick your tool. If you have already selected a tool to create and administer test, do not moan, groan, or whine.” (p.284) In this chapter, there are many good points that can help the instructional design ensure course quality and he focus on the test.
Also, the instructor should test his course tools in deference computer to make sure every thing is clear and work. The good instruction design should focus in many things to make ensure about course quality, first, the course should have Interaction between the students with each other and between the student and the teacher also the course should be easy to use by students.
second, the good instructor asks his students to give hem feedback about the learning experience in the course. third, the Instructional design can ensure course quality by student answer for the their homework or the student comments with each other in our blogs he should make sure that all students are on the same track.
3. Describe again the course or eLearning unit you are designing.
Content:
this course will teach students how important of the Characteristics in design online course and develop student’s technology skills and make them use some new technology tolls.
Instructor characteristics: professors have god skills in technology and online teaching experience.

6. Discuss the method or process would you are using to design the eLearning unit. If applicable, identify the CMS that you will use and discuss the advantages of using that CMS as well as the constraints that your CMS forces on you as a designer.
1-First I will focus on ADDIE
2-I will create videos for the students in each lesson and I will post it in syllabus in my website.

In developing my project, I will post every information in my website to help them to create their own blog first and design their online course.
I will ask them to email me everything that they finished so far, that I can see their skills development. Also I will provide them with good website that shows them how to improve their skills.
I will focus on each student interaction and what they learn so far.
At the end I will grades them according to their development on there website.
I will do surveys in the first class and in the end class.
I will present the course content with other instructional design who are in the technology department and i will take advices from them.
You are making good progress in designing your course! I would like to see you break your learning goals down into smaller units as it is easier create a more detailed design for these smaller units.
ReplyDeleteHello Eman,
ReplyDeleteI noticed you chose to have an activity in which students will create their own online syllabus for the courses they design.
I'd like to offer you this real long URL that will direct you to a document titled "Creating an Effective Online Syllabus".
Here is the url:
http://college.hmco.com/instructors/catalog/walkthroughs/pdf/walk_0618000429_4.pdf
Your syllabus activity reminded me that I, too, have to learn how to create an online syllabus.
Hope this helps.
Hello Eman,
ReplyDeleteI like reading your posts because they are very thorough and engender thoughts on my part that I wouldn't have thought about before. I am trying to keep mine simple but I realize to create interest I need some other tools, as you have suggested. Thanks!
